Religion Or Christianity.... Is there a difference?

One of our pastors, W.D. Petersen, and his wife wrote a booklet with this title and I have their permission to post it here. They show 10 differences and I want to share them with you.  I'll do Difference #1 now.

Religious People:  Religious people put their trust in a system of doctrines or teachings or traditions:
Hoping for the forgiveness of their sins.

Jesus said: "In vain do they worships me, teaching for doctrines the commandments 'OF MEN'." Mark 7:7

Biblical Christians:  Biblical Christians put their trust in a "PERSON", the "Lord Jesus Christ", trusting Jesus to "save them";  trusting Jesus to "forgive" their sins.

Jesus said: "you believe in God, believe also in ME". John 14:1
"NO MAN comes unto the FATHER, but 'BY ME'."  John 14:6

The Apostle Paul said: "...we trust in the living God who is the SAVIOR of ALL men that believe." 1 Tim. 4:10

Question:  Is your trust in a religion or in Christ Jesus Himself?
