Boy, did we get rain!

I'm sure no one would believe me so I took a picture of the folks' rain guage. I had emptied it a few days ago after we had 1/4".  Last night it rained hard with lots of lightning and thunder. Virtually impossible to sleep. And I did not add any water to this.  Dean had a bit of a problem going to work, A lady was stuck in the middle of the road - no 4 wheel drive and we did have a flash flood during the night.

I may have to go rake some debris out of the way on the road.  It's really a mess.

The rain brought out the bugs.  I don't know what kind this is but he's about the size of my little finger.

Last Saturday Dean worked a bit on his '47 International pickup. How do you like our fancy seats??  Was a bit rough riding.  And the throttle isn't installed yet.  The gear ratio must be pretty high as we moved very quickly!  What a hoot!  And the Buick in the background...  it has 226,000+ miles on it and is still going strong!
